Nuova Faor SP Nitro 1:5 Racing Bike (2023 model)

The "EVO SP" model from Nuova Faor was raced for the first time at the RC Bike World Championships in 2018, immediately able to win the world championship title thanks to pilot Simone Nascosti (IT). With the EVO SP, Nuova Faor have combined many features including some styling from the successful EVO electric model along with some innovative new features in this current Nitro Bike.

The proven hydraulic EVO fork is used on the front end of the bike. The steering head of the bike is held by two CFRP plates, and the head angle is adjustable from the factory setting of 17.5 degrees to optional 21 degree angle. The steering servo sits centrally in the upper mounting plate behind the steering head. A 40x20mm low-profile servo is required.

The new steering damper with a continuous piston rod, ensures identical resistance in both directions and a balanced steering feeling. The front disc brake uses cable actuation,  a micro-servo with a maximum size of 23 x 12mm is required here.

The rear wheel swing arm and final drive also come from the EVO electric bike. A combined aluminium/CFRP swing arm with the transmission shaft as the pivot point is supported on the main frame via a horizontally installed hydraulic shock absorber. A toothed belt with a belt tensioner is also used as the final drive on the EVO SP. The rear disc brake also cable driven is noticeably large with a 55mm disc diameter, a new and particularly striking feature of the bike.

Two large CFRP chassis plates form the main frame and offer enough space in between to install a combustion engine. All engines with a small housing (2.11 - 2.95 ccm or .12 / .15 / .18 cubic inch) with side outlet, sliding carburettor and SG shaft are suitable.

For the use of the enclosed reverse clutch must be used the crankshaft at the engine outlet have a diameter of 6mm. The engine, installed horizontally, releases its exhaust gases upwards through the manifold, which ends in a polished aluminum tuned pipe. The tuned pipe now sits in the middle of the chassis and is well protected in the event of a crash. The model Bike is started by an external electric starter directly on the reverse clutch, The starter is not included included in the kit.

Of course the most striking feature of the EVO SP is without a doubt the new, large tank, which sits between the wheels below the chassis along the entire length of the bike. A battery compartment that is accessible from below is integrated in the rear part of the tank, where, for example, the SLS receiver battery 7.4V - 850 mAh fits perfectly. A servo measuring 35 x 15mm is required to control the gas and rear brake.

The bike comes standard with aluminum rim that accept all common wheels such as ROADIES, PMT or GRP with open rims. It is alsol possible to install the old NF rims, RG rims or the GRP wheels with a rim directly on the hub. CFRP rims and additional weights are also optionally available. We Include a set of GRP M3 tyres mounted to the bike.

The NF EVO SP uses 8 ball bearings at all crucial pivot and rotation points. The model comes pre-assembled, with only the fairings supplied in clear Lexan for a custom paint job. The scope of delivery of the bike also includes a rear wheel stand and some basic tools along with Clutch, pipe, manifold and throttle / brake hardware included.

To operate the model, a suitable combustion engine (see description above), a 3-channel remote control and 3 servos (40 x 20mm low profile for steering) + 35 x 15mm (for gas / rear brake) + approx. 23 x 12mm (for front brake) required.

A 3-channel Radio is recommended, in which the 3rd channel for the mechanical front brake can be controlled independently of the 2nd channel for the gas/rear brake. The brake balance between front and rear can then be adjusted much more easily and finely.

The accessories for this model bike can be found in our spare parts pages. Of course, all parts of the kit are available individually or in assemblies as spare parts. If you have any further questions about the model bike, please email us info@holeshothobbies.com
