We used spray cans Thomas, for the weathered effect, spray some paint into the lid and use a brush to apply it to create that more realistic look

Learning curve from one bike to the other is not really a big problem or something you notice a great deal. The biggest difference would be the Losi allows the pilot to use the bike like a car with steering inputs, the electronics do the work for you. The CRS works like a regular RC motorcycle, in that, if you hold steering inputs on when you are already on the bar and leaned over, the bike will continue straight until you take the steering input back to center. Allowing the front end to do its thing and corner.😉

Hi Tom, Rick and anyone else reading up On these new bikes. Rest assured that in terms of durability the CRS is not going to let you down. In the past 12+ months, we have put it through countless tests, and we have not been nice to it😂. We have tried to break it, not by running it full noise into a wall, but we have jumped it, ran into things, cartwheeled and back flipped, front flipped and everything in between. The bike has always come home in 1 piece. The rider not always 😜😂. I can say that the rider is def strong, but not as strong and indestructable as the Losi rider. Apart from this, many areas of the bike will take more abuse than the Losi. The body work is more durable, there is not crash back system but at the same time it does not need one. The outer fork legs and most of the alloy parts are all made from 7075 egral. This limits the colours of anodising available but you have a stronger and more durable product. My test bike is still running all original parts. Like spur, sprockets, chain and gears. Have done several sets of tyres, broken handlebars once and the handlebar support omce in sep crashes. Have changed the front fender once. That is all in terms of replacing anything on it. Feel free to give it a hard time, it only increases the smile on your face and fun factor! Have a friend in europe who has more than 300 packs of track time on the bike and not broken a thing. A strong bullet proof as possible off-road bike was the goal from X-Rider when they started this project. We think they have well and truly achieved this!👍🏻

Great to hear Tom, sounds like you are on the right direction, only as heavy as needed is a good rule to follow. Yes for racing the steering is always being adjusted to suit the track and the conditions. Same track with different conditions can mean a very different setting in the steering.

Hey Rick, You can safely shorten the bars by 10-15mm and still have plenty of clearance. I have shortened mine and also have them bent slightly upward to give a touch more lean angle and no problems getting up from them and you will not roll over them. Glad you are enjoying it. Hey Tom, I’ll set aside a module for you. It does a great job, it is so subtle it tricks you into thinking you are in control yourself and its not working, but when you switch it off, you soon realise it does work and very well. I recommend having it off, if you are doing any jumping with the bike. Regarding the dampers, more pre-load is helpful, and a heavier spring I have also tried works well. For the oil 5000-7000 CST is good. I’m using 5000 in 1 bike and 6000 in the other. 7000 would work nicely too. As for helping to keep the front end down, along with increase stiffness in the front, is the Egral 7075 head stock. Stock arriving tomorrow. Alloy triple clamps adding some weight, even more strength and that bling are of course the alloy triple clamps. Very early in the new year the long awaited full hydraulic forks will be available. These are going to be a limited stock for the first batch so pre-order is recommended.

Hi Tom, Yes you can, you need to remove the bash plate cover and the front crash bar shaft, then you can remove one cover at a time or both at the same time😉. I will put together a small post on what colours were used for this paint work. 👍🏻

Hi Rick, The front of the exhaust is held in by the flywheel side cover. To remove the pipe from the bile you need to remove the side cover first.

Hi Wayne, Yes correct, I posted this up in Jan on the website to let people know. I contacted all the guys that have 1:4 bikes that there was an opportunity to run a class if numbers permitted. The club asked that we have at least 5 entries, which is very reasonable. Unfortunately the club did no promotion of the fact Bikes were a class to enter. Is it really any surprise there was no entries?? There must be at least a dozen or more local guys with 1:4 bikes and its growing all the tine. Just doesnt seem to be any interest to get on the track

If you already own a a previous ZH Racing 1:8 bike, you can transform it to current spec by just purchasing the chassis and hub kit. The new chassis and hub kit will accommodate the GRP 1:8 rims and tyres.
